The Poe Center for Health Education specializes in developing programs for youth to address health concerns like childhood obesity, physical inactivity, unhealthy food choices, tooth decay, drug and alcohol abuse, unintentional injuries, and teen pregnancy. All programs follow North Carolina's Department of Public Instruction's Healthful Living Curriculum.
 
Your local Red Cross Chapter is committed to meeting the humanitarian needs of the people in your area, be it in disaster preparedness, disaster relief, first aid and CPR training, or disease prevention. You can help support your local chapter programs and services through a gift to your local Red Cross chapter.
 
Assistance Dogs of the West provides trained service dogs to people with disabilities in order to increase self-reliance and independence. We teach students to train dogs to help people.
 
Best Friends Animal Society operates the country's largest sanctuary for homeless animals and works globally with animal shelters and rescue groups to bring about a time when there will be no more homeless pets.
 
Brier Creek Elementary was established in 2006. We currently have 636 students and 30 teachers. Our school mascot is the Brier Creek Jets. We are using SchoolHeart to help us purchase a shade cover for the playground.

The Klein Oak Class of 2011 (Freshman Class) is using the School Heart program to raise money for its Senior Prom. The class goal is $50,000 over the next four years.
 
Lead Mine Elementary was established in 1990. We currently have 544 students and 44 teachers. Our school mascot is the Leopard. We are using SchoolHeart to help us purchase globes and new maps for the classrooms.
 
The LHS French Boosters will be participating in this fundraising program to pay for their trip to Quebec in March 2008, and to fund future travel for French students.
 
Project Graduation is an all night lock-in party held on the evening of graduation, which this year will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2008. Seniors spend the evening celebrating their success with their peers and enjoying live entertainment, karaoke, sumo wrestling, games, movies, food, door prizes and much more.

The mission of Mandy's Special Farm is to provide highest quality, long term, 24-hour care for a maximum six women with autism, ages 18 to 30 on admission. The goal is to help these women achieve their greatest self-sufficiency, within a caring, structured, positive, purposeful, encouraging home-like atmosphere.
 
MS stops people from moving. The National MS Society exists to make sure it doesn't. We help each person address the challenges of living with MS.
 
The Northern New Mexico College Foundation is located on the Espanola campus of Northern New Mexico College in historic and picturesque northern New Mexico. The mission of the foundation is to increase, manage, and distribute resources for the benefit of the students, the college and the community.
 
Proud Spirit began with just one horse in need on only five acres of land in rural Florida has evolved into a 320 acre, award winning facility in Mena, Arkansas. Since its modest beginning in Florida, over 150 abused, neglected and unwanted horses have come to live out their lives in peace and dignity at Proud Spirit Sanctuary.

SAFE Haven For Cats (SHFC) is a no-kill shelter for cats located in the North Raleigh area of North Carolina. We are a unique community-based animal shelter. In addition to providing adoption services for cats and kittens in need of good homes, we further assist our community in providing feline spay and neuter services in connection with SAFE Care Feline Spay Neuter Clinic.
 
Scott-Free will provide children an opportunity to explore the possibilities of their own abilities, dreams, and desires by giving them exposure to life outside their own surroundings. Through thoughtful donations, The Scott-Free Scholarship intends to pair children up with a camp environment where they can explore and discover talents and abilities they were unaware they possessed.
 
Smile Forever was founded in 2004. We are an organization dedicated to providing financial aid directly to families touched by cancer and autism. Smile Forever depends on contributed donations and sponsors. Those suffering from other serious illnesses may be evaluated and considered for financial aid on an exception basis. Smile Forever does not let geographical boundaries or nature of illness restrict us.
 
The SPCA Humane Education program strives to provide dynamic programs for people of all ages in our community in order to help create a stronger bond between and a better life for people and their pets.
 
Theatre In The Park is located in the northern end of Raleigh, North Carolina’s scenic Pullen Park and is internationally acclaimed for its outstanding theatrical achievements—more than 40,000 people attending our programming last year alone. Theatre In The Park is second only to the celebrated Louisville Actor’s Theatre in original works premiered— producing over 40 original plays during the last two decades (two of which moved to off-Broadway).
